On October 15, 2015, Marchment and Budini discovered a local woman named Duen, who had a daily post-work ritual of feeding homeless dogs. “Needless to say, we have a new agenda for tomorrow,” Marchment wrote on Facebook. “Load up with dog food and help [Duen] feed all the homeless animals.”

The next day, Marchment and Budini found an injured black puppy. Duen explained that the dog had been involved in a recent road accident and hadn’t seen a veterinarian since. Touched, the newlyweds determined that they would get the puppy the help that he needed.
