But Powell’s diagnosis was different. She likely felt a firm cyst growing beneath her skin, a tell-tale sign that she had breast cancer. Doctors at the Nottingham City Hospital gave the 41-year-old the bad news.

Of course, that diagnosis didn’t just affect Powell’s health – she had her first child growing inside her, too. In 2012, she told the Daily Mail newspaper, “When I heard the word cancer my first thought was, ‘I’m going to lose my baby.’”
